General Manager's Report

The restaurant is progressing at a fast rate and is expecting to open by Labor Day. You can check out the construction progress by going to the web site at www.FourWindsClub.com . You can purchase an engraved plate with your name or the name of a loved one and have it embedded in the bar. Visit the web site for further details.

The playground equipment was painted by volunteers. We owe a great deal of thanks to Tony and Carolyn Peaco, Steve Keys (Dummy), Ruben and Anna Lawhorn and the Horseshoe Club for their time, equipment and paint. Everything was done at no cost to the club.

Repairs to the basketball court are near completion and when completed there will be two half courts.

We continue to have problems with people trashing the bathhouses. It is our dues money that pays for the repairs. If you know of anyone damaging the bathhouses please let Bill or myself know who the people are. Your name will not be used and we will take action against those persons responsible.

We are having a foreclosure sale on September 12, 2009. There will be 8 properties in the sale. Check the web site for details. Also if you have a property for sale, why not list it on the web site at www.FourWindsClub.com . The cost is minimal and many lots have been sold through the site.

You can keep informed as to what your club is doing by visiting the website at ww.FourWindsClub.com . While there look at "members Services" and request a copy of the Board of Directors meetings minutes and to receive the newsletter in electronic form.

General Manager Wayne Roberts

President's Letter

Well we have had a busy couple of months. We had two BOD resign in July we were very sorry to see them go, But we have a hard working board and we are moving forward steadily. Last week we had our first monthly managers meeting. This will help to run the club in a more cost effective and efficient manner, with all our managers informed and working together.

We had a foreclosure sale in July and all 8 lots have been sold. This process seems to be bringing the club our much needed new members.

We had to. remove three trees from behind the cart barn and now we are going to have the huge tree by the restaurant trimmed in hopes to save the tree. It is very old and beautiful but it is starting to split from the weight of the limbs this will cost the club $1500.00.

We have had some close calls with kids on golf carts.

Please remember that the age to drive a golf cart is 12, and take the time to instruct your children or grandchildren on the safety aspects of driving. Stopping at all intersections would be a good habit for the kids to get into. We discussed at the July meeting about maybe having a class for kids 12 to 16 on driving in the campground, I would like to work on that for next summer. We don't want anyone getting hurt. On that subject please remember when you are driving your automobile to abide by the speed limits.

The BOD is still working on the resolution for the campground. We will have a decision soon for the members. We appreciate your patience with this issue and we as a board would like to put this to rest soon.

I'm looking forward to Labor Day weekend we have a lot of activities planned for young and old. It has been a great summer and I hate to see it come to and end so quickly. '

I would also like to thank all the members for volunteering their time and monies to the club. You are all greatly appreciated.

Thank You, Beth Knight

Security News

Wow it's hard to believe that it is almost the end of the summer. I would like to thank our members for a successful summer. We have had some security issues but with the help from members reporting issues and giving us good information we were able to work through the issues.

I would like to inform everyone that at the July meeting the board voted to allow the members to use their 6 permanent guests for any persons of your choice, it does not have to be immediate family. Your permanent guests also can only be changed once a year.

In the August meeting the Board discussed the on going issue of members not getting and or not using their new photo Girds. The BOD approved that starting August 8, 2009 all members and permanent guests must use the new photo ID cards. Security was informed that they would need to take the following steps if a member or permanent guest does not have the new ID card.

Member

1.) If the office is open politely request that member go to the office to get their new card.

2.) Document the member's information an place it with their drop attention General Manager so the issue can be addressed by the BOD.

Permanent Guest

1 .) If the office is open and the member is present politely request that the member take their guest to get their new card.

2.) If the office is closed or the member is not present the permanent guest will be required to pay the $5.00 per day guest pass fee until their new ID card is issued.

Thanks, Bill Schindelle

Thank You, Doreen Tutor

Golf Course Superintendent

I am looking for volunteers for airification on October 5, 2009 all help is welcome at any time of the year.

Many people are not fixing their ball marks on the greens or the divots on the tee boxes. I would love to see golfers fix their own divots and help to keep our tee boxes nice.

Thanks, Brad Lowman

Maintenance Report

We have been working on the roads. But the rain continues to wash them out. We will working on the roads next week.

We fixed a 6" water main that was broken and leaking in Cluster 2. We still have two miner leaks that will be fixed next week.

Sean has been working on the burn pile. The burn pile is now a burn hole. It is almost gone and that it will be level soon. It is much safer burning our brush in a hole so please put all brush in the burn hole.

The gear box on the tumbler at the sewer plant went out and had to be replaced.

Cleaning up the trash that the members throw on the ground at the dumpster area is a terrible job for maintenance every Monday morning. Please put your trash in the dumpsters.

Thanks, Vinny

EPC

In the past few weeks I rode around the club and I am encouraged in what I have seen. Some members are starting to take pride in our club that's a great thing! We still have a long way to go, some lots still have old cars and trucks without tags or inspection stickers this is a violation of our rules.

The members with tarps over their trailers or buildings should remove them as soon as repairs are completed.

We still need lot owners to mark their lots with cluster and lot numbers. This is more for safety then anything. It also makes it easier for us to identify owners.

Some lots need grass cut and trash removed. Please let us know if you need help the club has people that can help. Try to remember your neighbors and keep your lots cut and clean.

Thank You, Bruce Elliotte

Fund Raising Committee

A big thanks goes out to all who have helped make this a success. We have raised $1500.00 so far for the new privacy fence to replace the split rail fence along the road when entering the campground. Please check the calendar for fund raising events coming up.

Make sure to get your raffle tickets for a basket full of food Box of Y-i pound burgers and rolls, hot dogs and rolls, chips, mustard, ketchup and relish. Tickets will be sold Sat. and Sunday Labor Day weekend. The winner will be drawn Sunday 1 PM.

Thank You, Mary Salvino
